TEMPLE, TX (October 16, 2019) – The Temple Police Department has arrested 36-year-old Terrikah Haynes on two counts of abandoning or endangering a child with imminent danger of death or bodily injury.
The two female children, ages six and four, were recovered from the home on Sept. 30 and placed into the care of Child Protective Services.
Officers observed that the home did not have electricity or running water. There was also no food or fluids in the home for consumption.
The investigation into the two questionable deaths related to this case is ongoing. More information will be released as it is available.

UPDATE: Victims in questionable deaths case identified
TEMPLE, TX (October 15, 2019) – The victims in the questionable death case that originated Sept. 30 have been positively identified as 2-year-old Terric Boyd, male, and 1-year-old Janea Boyd, female.
Next of kin have been notified. Autopsy results are still pending.

Temple PD investigates questionable deaths
TEMPLE, TX (September 30, 2019) –The Temple Police Department is investigating the deaths of two children in the 1500 block of South 35th Street.
Officers were dispatched to a residence for a welfare check at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30. Upon arrival, officers made entry into the residence and observed two deceased young children.
Officers also located an adult female who was cognitively unresponsive. She was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple.
Two additional children were located in the residence and have since been placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
Identities, ages and genders of the deceased have not been confirmed. The circumstances of their deaths are still under investigation. Autopsies have been ordered.
