Biography
Glenn William "GT" Thompson Jr. (born July 27, 1959) is an American politician serving in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2009, representing Pennsylvania's 5th congressional district until 2019 and Pennsylvania's 15th congressional since then. He is a member of the Republican Party. Thompson was first elected to Congress in 2008. He is a member of the moderate Republican Governance Group. Since 2023, he has chaired the House Agriculture Committee. After Senator Bob Casey Jr. lost re-election, Thompson became the dean of the Pennsylvania's congressional delegation in 2025.
